INTRODUCING RONIN'S NEW AI MACHINE CREATOR!! Customisable bucket policies, daily cost breakdowns, csv import for users and more!

RONIN Release: Wednesday 11th February 2026

Major Features

AI Machine Creator

  • Introducing... RONIN's new AI Machine Creator!
  • Taking advantage of AWS's Deep Learning AMIs (DLAMIs), Ollama's local LLM models and AWS GPU instances, we provide a simple 7-step wizard for launching and configuring your very own AI machine!
  • With just a few clicks, users have access to all of the tools they need to get started with their AI/ML workloads including NVIDIA drivers, their favourite deep learning environment (Pytorch, Tensorflow, Jupyter Notebook), and even a local LLM they can interact with privately.
  • For more information, please refer to our comprehensive blog post here

Customisable RONIN Bucket Policy

  • The default s3 bucket policy that is applied to all new buckets created in RONIN can now be edited/customised via a Systems Manager Parameter called ronin-bucket-policy
  • The <--BUCKET--> placeholder must exist for inserting the associated bucket name and in RONIN Isolate environments, the <--ADDRESSES--> placeholder condition must additionally exist for whitelisting specific RONIN machine addresses
  • For more information, please refer to this blog post

Minor Features

  • Users can now be added to projects by a comma-separated list of emails
  • Daily costs have been added to the machine summary screen and are now the default (rather than weekly)
  • Added a global configuration parameter that can disable object storage keys in RONIN Isolate (i.e. machines are still whitelisted in RONIN but bucket access is instead controlled by another mechanism such as the ronin-clone role)
  • Added improved error handling for object storage bucket policies

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bug when sorting specific columns of the audit table
  • Fixed bug for custom RONIN package avatars in isolate environments
